Who we are

A firm built on purpose,
expertise & sector depth.

Transforming Healthcare is a specialist BEE advisory company with an exclusive focus on transformation in the healthcare sector. As a 100% black female owned business, we bring both the credibility and the lived experience of transformation to every engagement.

Our founder brings over a decade of hands-on BEE advisory experience, having worked across the full healthcare value chain - from pharmaceuticals and medical devices to diagnostics, public health, retail, and clinical research.

Her exposure extends well beyond advisory. She serves as an external reviewer at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and the Technology Innovation Agency, evaluating medical device innovations for funding and societal impact. She is Chairperson of the Board at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital - one of Africa's largest public psychiatric facilities - providing governance oversight on performance, risk, and ESG-aligned sustainability. And she sits on the panel of enterprise and supplier development experts at The Innovation Hub, Gauteng's flagship science and technology park, supporting SMEs and informing inclusive funding decisions.

We have advised and assisted national and multinational companies headquartered around the world. We do not offer generic compliance tick-box exercises. We deliver strategic, sector-specific advisory that is both legally compliant and genuinely impactful.

Why it matters

Healthcare compliance is complex,
BEE must work harder.

Healthcare organisations operate under exceptional regulatory demand. Before BEE is even considered, layers of compliance (product registration, distribution, marketing standards, employment equity) each carry cost, resource demand, and risk.

Compliance costs are real.

BEE compliance carries a direct financial cost. Every rand invested must be justified, strategic, and deliver sustainable returns — not simply satisfy a checklist.

Market access is at stake.

In South Africa, BEE status is inextricably linked to market access. Poor BEE performance can limit tender eligibility, supplier relationships, and public-sector contracts.

Strategy must align with business.

BEE cannot exist in isolation. Transformation strategies must be fully integrated with your broader business strategy to be meaningful and maintainable over time.
